Chronos Cube: A Testament to Timeless Elegance and Innovation

The Infinity Whirlpool: Where Art Meets Engineering

Introducing the Chronos Cube, a luxurious whirlpool designed by Felix Julius Born and Manuel Noack, which marries the raw beauty of nature with the sleekness of modern architecture. This award-winning design is a paradigm of innovation, offering a unique blend of aesthetic appeal and technological prowess.

The Infinity Whirlpool stands out with its symmetrical square shape and minimalist design, echoing the enduring allure of monolithic structures. Born and Noack drew inspiration from the perpetual charm of natural elements and the streamlined forms of contemporary design. The result is a functional masterpiece that serves as both a high-end water feature and an artistic statement.

What sets the Chronos Cube apart is its stone-like façade, a testament to the designers' commitment to craftsmanship and advanced technology. Unlike traditional hot tubs, the Infinity Whirlpool is a monolith of luxury and design distinction. It is a symbol of aesthetic excellence, designed to elevate any space it occupies.

The realization of the Infinity Whirlpool was a feat of engineering, making it the first of its kind to offer a real stone surface in a finished product. This innovation eliminates the need for on-site construction, allowing for a seamless installation process. The whirlpool's compact design houses all technical components, showcasing the precision of German engineering.

Technical specifications of the Chronos Cube include a size of 300 x 300 x 98 cm, an empty weight of 1400 kg, and an operating weight of 3900 kg when filled with 2500 liters of water. It requires a 400V / 32A electrical connection, ensuring that it meets the needs of contemporary luxury living.

Operation of the Infinity Whirlpool is as simple as it is sophisticated. With no complex setup required, it is akin to placing a sculpture in one's living space. The whirlpool is easily filled with water and activated at the touch of a button. Its online configurability and ordering process add to its convenience and accessibility.

The journey of the Chronos Cube began in March 2021, with the first prototype constructed by July of the same year. After approximately two and a half years of development in Germany, the whirlpool was unveiled on November 30, 2023. This launch marked a significant milestone in the field of design-oriented water features.

Research for the Infinity Whirlpool focused on the lack of design-centric whirlpools in the market that could encapsulate the aesthetics of water and infinity effects. The design team aimed to create a product that would not only offer a luxurious experience but also pay homage to the planet's most precious resource, water. The resulting design provides a sanctuary of peace, integrating the infinity effect and a natural waterfall to create an immersive experience.

One of the greatest challenges overcome by Born, Noack, and their team member Timo Kurz was the integration of a natural waterfall into the whirlpool's filtration system without compromising aesthetics. This required a delicate balance between the visual and functional aspects of the design, ensuring that the water's movement remained a captivating feature while concealing the complex mechanisms behind it.

The Chronos Cube is a celebration of sustainability, utilizing durable materials such as stainless steel and tiles to ensure longevity. The design has been recognized with a Bronze A' Design Award in the Bathroom Furniture and Sanitary Ware Design category for 2024, highlighting its exceptional design and contribution to quality of life improvements.
